Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Livelihood Trust. The Livelihood Trust will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the Livelihood Trust. The Livelihood Trust operates as a public benefit charity and tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization with the purpose of alleviating poverty.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the Sponsor's financial security.

Livelihood Trust does not provide tax or financial advice about treatment of gifts and direct Sponsors to his/her/their own professional advisers to assist his/her/them in the process of making his/her/their gift(s).

Livelihood Trust will accept gifts of cash. Gifts of in-kind services may be accepted at the discretion of the Livelihood Trust.

Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Livelihood Trust.

Livelihood Trust will provide acknowledgments to Sponsors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Livelihood Trust.

Livelihood Trust will respect the intent of the Sponsor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, Livelihood Trust will restrict information about the Sponsor to only those staff members with a need to know.

Livelihood Trust will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or Sponsor to Livelihood Trust.

By agreeing to the terms you are accepting that your gift does not entitle you to membership. YOU ARE AGREEING TO RENOUNCE ANY FUTURE INTEREST OR BENEFIT FROM LIVELIHOOD TRUST, AND INSTEAD, AGREEING TO DIRECT ANY FUTURE INTEREST OR BENEFIT TO THOSE WHO HAVE PROPERLY BECOME MEMBERS OF LIVELIHOOD TRUST. You further accept that your gift will be equally distributed across all members as if they invested in themselves, increasing each member’s share of the fund’s return on investment.
